OMEGA SPRINKLER HEAD UPDATE #1
Published - March 1999

Recently, Central Sprinkler issued a new policy regarding the replacement of an estimated eight million Omega Series Sprinkler Heads currently installed across the nation. In an effort to settle the various lawsuits, Central has agreed to provide free replacement glass-bulb sprinkler heads and pay monies into a trust fund to be dispersed in the future to property owners for labor costs.

Each property owner is financially responsible for replacing the Omega Sprinkler Heads. However, they are eligible for a portion of the thirty-seven million dollar trust fund to offset any incurred costs.

To date, all of our customers that currently have Omega Sprinkler Heads installed have received the appropriate paperwork and other applicable information. Our Inspection Department is still "on the lookout" for any additional properties with Omega Heads.

These heads are mainly installed in single family homes, apartment buildings and town homes. If your property is protected by a sprinkler system, please take a moment to identify the type of sprinkler head installed. Omega heads are easily identified by the three discs stacked on top of each other with space between them.

If you have any questions or concerns about the replacement procedures of the Omega Sprinkler Heads, please feel free to contact Alisha Wayman at Ext. 534.
